Azaleas have been nicknamed the queen of flowers because of
their beautiful blooms. If you care for them correctly, they will keep blooming
and growing for years. Azalea’s prefer a pH level of 5.5 or to 6.0. To obtain
this pH level, use pine needs and bark as a mulch. Azaleas like partial shade
and do best when the light they receive comes from either the East or North. They
need well draining soil to prevent root rot and do not do well in clay. When
you transplant an Azalea, make sure to leave the top of the root bundle just
showing.
